About
Folk artistic crafts represent a significant part of the Russian cultural heritage. And the main objective of the International Crafts Congress is to introduce new achievements, outline the ways of further development and discuss relevant issues of creative industries and the crafts sector.
The event will be conducted in a hybrid format — online and offline.

During the period from 7 December to 15 December, you can participate in the Congress's business programme using the website section of live streaming arranged in cooperation with the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum.
On 12-15 December, the Russian Folk Crafts week will be held in Moscow. The All-Russian Decorative Art Museum will host discussion sessions dedicated to the development of folk crafts and their modern interpretation in Russia and abroad. The list of invited speakers includes famous designers and creative industry experts, and participants from the Middle East and Africa.

On 12-14 December, pavilions with the crafts products will be installed at the famous Christmas fair in GUM (second line), where everyone will enjoy and buy, as a gift or for yourself, the products of masters whose secrets have been passed from fathers to sons for hundreds of years. Modern manufacturers carefully preserve century-old traditions, but also add contemporary trends into them while developing the industry.

In the evening on 14 December, children and adults can enjoy an entertainment animated programme at the GUM skating ring, with gifts and an original photo zone.

Also, on 7-21 December, a virtual exhibition of unique folk crafts products will be available on the website for everyone to enjoy. You will walk along the exhibition hall without leaving your home, relish the aesthetics and get inspiration from the products created with the use of natural materials and various techniques.
